Zachary fell today rollerblading and broke his tailbone. He is in bed now resting. The ER doctor x-rayed him and confirmed the fracture. He willtake about 6 weeks to recover. We have a script for pain meds and he will be using the "donut" we purchased to relieve pressure. He also has been referred to an orthopedist.
Thank You,
Paula
P.S. Over the holiday break we found out more information on the bullying incident and will have to take things a step further after school begins on Monday. Continue to pray for wisdom and discernment on this matter. We want to do what is best for Zach and will be looking into other educational options.

Bullies

I apologize for the long break between updates. I am going to post a small one to ask for prayers for Zachary.
As many of you know Zachary has been the target of bullies for a while now. I have journaled about this before. Today there was another incident.
Zachary was attacked at school today. This was an unprovoked attack. The child kicked him in the shin, kicked him in the private area and attempted to kick him in the face but missed. Video of has been viewed by the school and they have confirmed that he was attacked. Witnesses have come forward and have been questioned. I have called the school to request a face to face meeting with the principal. Please pray for Zach as he has to see this student every day in one of his classes. Pray for me and my husband for wisdom and discernment as we help Zachary get through this and make decisions on what to do as far as legal matters might be concerned on this issue.
I will update further about Zachary soon. I will not be giving out any further information on the attack until this is resolved. If you have any questions please e-mail me directly.

So it begins....
The start of another school year brings many emotions Zachary. He is excited to be back in school. He is fearful of what this year brings as far as bullies. He is sad to not be home in front of the beloved cartoons.
It has been 1 1/2 weeks since school started. He has been enjoying it so far. The teachers seem nice and so far we have had no issues with bullies. His health has been good. If you followed us back 1 year ago on Caringbridge, you will remember that Zachary had quite the beginning to the 08-09 school year. We are very thankful he is healthy this year and started the school year on a good note. I will try to update more and will post pix soon.

Praying for others
I know many of you pray for us daily and we are very grateful.
I want to ask you to pray for some other people as well. Please go to
http://www.asherandjacobsfriends.com/ and pray for folks on that site. You are welcome to add your prayer request to the list. In fact, it is encouraged. We all need to lean on each other for support.
Thank you,
Paula

Burn

Zachary burned his arm on a light bulb in the car. The light bulb had been on for a long time. His arm got stuck to the light as he was helping me unload wash. He has a fairly bad (IMO) burn. He has gone to the doctor and will have to return to have it looked at. It is not to big but is deep. It appears to have a bit of pus coming out of it. Not a good thing since the pus is green on the bandage so back to the doctor we will go.

Doing well
Zach is doing well. He has hit a rough patch with the ADHD but hopefully with some minor adjustments he will get through this. He is very much looking forward to the end of the school year. He has not had anymore problems with his neck. He has also been cleared by the doctor. He will not have to return unless a problem arises. I will try to get the posts out sooner and more frequent. Have a blessed day.
